Superintendent

Bradford Construction currently has an opening for a qualified Site Superintendent. We are looking for a candidate that has the following:

- Previous commercial/institutional experience as a site superintendent

- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to supervise and coordinate subcontractors

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Attention to detail and construction standards

- Working computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PDF, Email)

The Site Superintendent must champion and provide leadership that results in a safe work culture, is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his direction and must understand and accept the importance and legal liability of the role. The Site Superintendent provides direction, leadership, supports and holds the workers responsible and accountable for meeting their responsibilities, goals, commitments and provides the necessary information and leadership in this regard.

Handyman

Bradford Construction is Currently looking to fill the position of a handyman. Candidates are required to have the following:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches

  • Has working knowledge of Ontario Building Codes

  • Valid driver's license and own transportation

  • Ability of safely operate a variety of power tools

  • General knowledge of construction

  • Safety oriented

  • Ability to work well in a team

  • Can work independently

  • Working at heights training

Office Clerk

Full-time - 40 + hours/week

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Coordinator and Project Manager in all administration functions and processes

  • Assisting Estimator with tendering process and purchasing

  • Perform administrative functions concerned with each project

  • Tracking and updating project deadlines and monitoring progress until completion

  • Conduct data entry of assigned project and client files

  • Performing data entry using MS Excel, Project Software, and a CMiC

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of construction processes

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills;

Recent graduate of Mechanical or Civil Engineering at uOttawa or Carleton, or Engineering Technology programs at Algonquin preferred.
